the enlisted men know that Sgts aren't that bright -- here's all the proof they need to back it up!!! :)

talk about an uncomfortable scenario to be placed in! I wouldn't like being on either end of that!

OK, I get the "tiny target" part of it, but why the gas masks?

because the enemy used to launch gas attacks and then follow up wearing their own gas masks, shooting who ever was left alive, shooting with a gas mask on was a very important tool


My father taught us sight alignment using a board with three screws in it, it was set up like a gun, but we would never have been allowed to Aim a gun at anyone, with the board, it was the same but not a gun.

They eventually came up with a prismatic gizmo that allowed the Sgt to see what the shooter saw from behind the dangerous end, I guess they lost too many Sgts in training. :) :) :) :)
