OMG! Kick the last half of this thread over to strategy before somebody gets miffed. That site was funny as hell. Thanks Joel.

Jesums, I'm still laughing. The guy does carry classes, drills bowling balls, bail bonding, sells some sort of amsoil (whatever the hell that is), teaches guitar, scuba, etc.

That's good stuff. I'm gonna feel really bad if it's somebody from here.
Amsoil, by the way, isn't something that a gardener might use, but a line of synthetic lubricants.

As I understand it -- and I'm sure that this will shock you -- it's apparently sold through a multi-level marketing scheme.

You know: like Amway.

Interesting, however I didn't notice a statement conveying "3d glasses required" anywhere.

Additional information available on said sites:
<blockquote>How light yellow lettering on a yellow green background appears.
The after-effects of the Great Comma Shortage of 2003.

Ditto on the Exclamation Point Flood (or, as some might have it, FLODD!!!) of 2005.

That one must drive on the red road to get to the gun range; drive on the blue road to get to "Class Joe Penaz"

How the importance of the Utah permit is determined by the size of the font in which said importance is averred, rather than in absent text in which said importance might be explained.

The utility of putting the name "Joel Rosenberg" in one's meta-tags, to increase one's google hits.

And a threat . . . "...I will give you an evening you will not forget."</blockquote>Yup; that's additional information.

After reading this I'm glad I didn't take my carry class with him even though he is local. It should be interesting to hear what he has to say about his bounty hunting when he comes to talk to a local club I belong to!
As a side note to pony gun, how are you doing? work isn't the same with out you :(

I buy my Amsoil at Fleet Farm, very good stuff for motorcycles. :D

I've got no reason to doubt that, and, for that matter, the one box of Amway detergent I bought, some years ago, was just fine.

'Mango' Joe Penaz, Bounty Hunter. I swear: I don't make this stuff up, you know.

And let's not get into the "CTU" training.

(Note to Joe's critics over at ripoffreport.com: it's "Jack Bauer", not "Jack Bower.")

I had to take a look at his web page. I feel soiled having done so.

This guy certainly puts the "sleaze" in "sleazeball". There is no possible way a person could make this stuff up.

What I don't get is why Gunstop is always stocked to the brim with the guy's cards and flyers. Is there a connection there? I hope not, I like Larry...

Well, he's <strike> very</strike> local to them and I would guess he sends them business referrals ...

It would be unwise for them to get in the middle of this whole pissing match, no matter which side they think is right or wrong or if they even care.

Well, Larry does let him put his cards and flyers there; mine are there, too. All of which is fine. I don't think it'd be altogether wise for Larry to pick one of the local instructors over others, from his POV, and I certainly can't (and don't) blame him for letting anybody put his cards there.

That said, I was a little . . . irritated with Joe telling folks, including me, that he had an exclusive arrangement with Gunstop, when he hadn't. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I guess he just heard wrong.
