The advice was definitely appreciated; I just felt like a moron!
I've come a long way in the last few months.
I'll be registering for a carry class soon and now I'm trying to decide what to carry. I thought I had settled on the XD45, but then shot my buddy's Glock the other day and really liked it. Now I'm hearing great things about CZs.
At the rate I've been going, I'll probably end up owning them all. It's just the order I have to decide on.

For what it's worth, CZ makes some great handguns. Of course it's always a personal decision, because everyone's hand grip is different, their firing stance, wrist angle, etc. But for me, I found the CZ P01 to be almost perfect.

Been there! macphisto wrote: I'll be registering for a carry class soon and now I'm trying to decide what to carry. No need to decide that first. Some instructors (many? most? Joel at least) recommend taking the class before making that decision, apparently on the theory that you might actually learn something relevant in their class.

Take the class first and take advantage of what the instructor has and/or other students before purchasing

I've currently got a Colt King Cobra .357 and a Taurus PT-22, both of which would probably get me laughed at if I showed up with them at a carry class. Free is free, though, and they're a lot of fun to shoot.
Thanks for the advice, guys.

I would not laugh.
I carry;
1) What I trust
2) What I shoot well
3) What fits me and my hand well
4) What is comfortable to shoot
My brother does carries a PT 22. I am sure someone here carries a .357 revolver, if not well then I will carry my Taurus .357 revolver for a few days as it meets my criteria.
I see nothing wrong with what you have, If you choose to aquire more firearms listen to ttousi. Also Bills rents firearms as well.

Nothing wrong with a Colt King Cobra as a carry weapon except it might be a bit large. That might prove somewhat cumbersome to draw, too. Nothing to laugh at, rest assured.

What I meant is that the King Cobra is way too large and heavy for me (and probably many others) to consider carrying and the PT-22 is too small to be very effective.

A .22LR (as long as it is not a .22 short) can be very effective and there is nothing wrong with them as a carry firearm.
Bigger is not always better, but the choice is yours.
