Heard on the radio this morning and had to share...I almost peed my pants I laughed so hard!

"I read this week of a couple who were celebrating their Golden Anniversary", a news paper reporter said and he decided to show up and find out about all this tranquility and peace in this home and just how it could be. Amazing just how a couple could stay together for 50 years and maintain such peace and joy. He got together with the husband and asked him...the husband said "well it goes back to our honeymoon. I married a girl from Texas and we visited the Grand Canyon, took a trip down to the bottom of he canyon on the back of a mule. A pack mule. We hadn't gone too far when the mule, my brides mule, stumbled. And because I was riding close to her, I over heard her say quietly into the mules ear. "That's once!" We proceeded a little further down into the canyon and the mule stumbled again and I noticed she leaned forward and said quietly "That's twice!". We hadn't gone another half mile when the poor mule stumbled again and the third time my wife reached into her bag and grabbed a revolver and BANG, she shot the mule dead and I made an a angry protest over the treatment of the mule when she looked and at me quietly and said...."That's once!" and then he added...and we have lived happily ever after!"

We celebrated our 25th anniversary yesterday and there is some truth to that joke.
