Jury selection is underway in the trial of Mary Winkler for the 2006 murder of her husband, Christian minister Matthew Winkler.

Defense attorneys are asking questions like, "Do you think accidental discharges ever happen?" Sensible. The one that really got me was "Do you agree with me that many women don't know how to load a gun?"

Dude. How hard can it be? I posted a poll at a (very liberal) site to see what the women there had to say about their own ability to (1) load a gun or (2) figure out how to load a gun.

So..........................

What did you find out? Don't leave us hanging in suspense!

Do liberal women know how to load guns or think they could figure it out?

Of course they do, they will think you are an idiot to ask them such a question. Now ask them to show you how to load a gun, and of course they won't stoop so low as to have to prove anything to you or anyone else.

So the real answer would be NO.

Aw, come on. We may not agree with their politics, but some of them are actually on our side. ;)

So far the votes are 6-6 on knowing how to load a gun. Four think they could figure out how. Three aren't sure. (Someone was confused, I think.)

I will agree with that, but do you think they could do it without hurting them self or someone else?

I just read this in Newsweek. Off topic, but if they want, women can learn.

Short story, she had a cardinal bothering her house. She went out and bought a shotgun. Took a short course how to use it. Took care of the problem.

My wife knows how to load and unload revolvers, semi autos and shotguns. So yes she does and I'm glad she does. :D

I have taken many women to the range, for a first experience with a gun. Many have difficulty in loading magazines, due to spring stiffness being stronger than their thumbs. Now, they can get SOME ammo in there, just can't always top off a magazine. So, yes, they can "load a gun". Just not always completely. And of course, if given a loaded magazine, it's no problem.
