Also note that the protagonist bad guys in The Way of the Gun finally get taken down by the antagonist bad guy James Caan -- with a snubby revolver. (There are no good guys in this movie.)
Well OK, a revolver and a gang of guys with rifles.

A very fun movie, lots of twists and turns. It was on the IFC channel some time back.
I thought the British were not supposed to have guns.
The ending was a hoot. A most excellent movie that i own on DVD  But i like face off with cage as the hitman

"Snatch" has plenty of guns and gunplay, though I'm a particular fan of the Bullet-Tooth Tony monologue inside the pub. And it's one of the best movies in a darkly funny sort of way I've seen in a long time...

I'll have to agree with Ronin, The Professional (the European cut explains a lot more), and Heat being good movies. Blade Runner is one of my favorite Sci-Fi's ever. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was amusing. Last Man Standing is good too, and is actually a remake of Kurosawa's great samauri movie, Yojimbo.
However, if I take a stricter interpretation of the the original request, a gun or guns has to be a major thematic portion of the movie; rather than guns simply being used. Using that criteria I would suggest:
Quiqley Down Under (centers around his rifle)
John Woo's, The Killer (the plot centers around a peripheral incident involving a gun.)
The Jackal (the old one not the new one  )
