You mean we are "beating a dead horse"?
I wouldn't delete, but it has run it's course and maybe a lock will allow it to drift away, but with the ability for a later reference if needed.

EZDYNAMICS, I don't know how old you are or how long since the incidents you mention. My guess would be that with a perfectly clean 10-year record you could get a permit in most counties. Anything more than two parking tickets in those 10 years and the odds go way down.

The problem with law enforcement records and the like is that they record all the "stuff" you may have done when you were young and/or stupid and/or criminal and/or under the influence of something or other...but they don't ever record all the stuff you might have undone since, or how you have grown up later, or how you got your life together afterwards. The black marks go on the record one by one, but they don't get erased, they just stay...for some long length of time, and maybe forever, because law enforcement records don't collect data on what a good guy you are. It is probably not fair to some who clean up their act, since we all desperately need second and third chances in life, but when it is about a gun in the hands of someone, society can't afford to make a mistake in giving that second or third chance. It is likely true that when the law looks at this record and sees the black marks, it probably is going to make a decision just as Joel and others have said: this guy is a potential danger to society walking around with a gun in his pocket, since he has already been a potential danger walking around without a gun in his pocket. It will be interesting to hear the outcome.

They are so cute when they get all red in the face and the veins in their forehead start to pop out. Then the small stroke when they are confronted. I just love em'!
