Yeah, just like their awesome gun registry program that's been real successful!!! I have a couple of Canadian friends from Western Canada, one being RCMP retired. Even HE doesn't like the programs that are currently in place. Sure, ban guns, disarm people and watch the violence escalate. The criminals will just find alternative tools to perpetrate their evil deeds.

Handguns kill people. That statement alone says a lot about the mindset of the people who wrote that article.

The only thing in that story that made sense to me was to double the penalty for those using guns to commit crimes.

Love the comment on their National Gun Registry- $1.7 billion spent so far.
Great use of the taxpayers money. Not that the government on this side of the border doesn't piss away taxpayers money in equally large amounts on equally stupid projects.

They won’t need to find “alternative tools”, they’ll just obtain a gun illegally, no problem.

50 whole people. That can't be right. Just out of curiosity I wonder how many Canadians died from booze in the same time period.

I thought the liberals just got a no confidence vote and that's why their having an election up there in January. Did I miss something?

Alot of gun control is not enough? Of course it isn't. Are laws the thing that make people moral? The people become moral as the Govt. passes more laws?

Or is there something else that makes people moral? See ... this is why I can't vote for a certain political party which I won't name ... the idea that the goverment is the source of morality is simply too sickening.

Yeah, pass more laws. That will change people's hearts [sarcasm off].
