Dispute over trampoline gets ugly in St. Paul

St. Paul Police are investigating a trampoline dispute that witnesses said led to an assault with a deadly weapon.

Neighbors said eight kids were jumping on a trampoline fenced in along Englewood Rd. when the owner told them to leave.

After the kids ran home, a neighbor said he saw two women approach the man with a shotgun.

According to police, one woman punched the man in the face while another hit him with the butt of the shotgun and that's when the gun went off.

The man sprinted away uninjured.

Police made two arrests and the incident remains under investigation.

More misadventures of the underclass.

They said on TV last night that the kids had been using the trampoline for a couple months with no incidents.

well then they OBVIOUSLY had a RIGHT to stay and use it despite the OWNER'S request that they leave. After all, since he had let them use it for MONTHS, they shouldn't have to leave NOW just because the OWNER told them to. HEck, it's practically a community resource now...

Let's follow this closely and see what happens when you confront someone with a loaded shotgun in this particular demographic.

I'm not fearful of very many things but kids on trampolines do scare me.

Most of the time I have seen kids on them they are pretty much unsupervised.

I can just about imagine the lawsuit that this guy would be confronted with if any of the neighbor kids were injured.

I guess if I own it then anyone can feel free to use it at will, or be shot if I were to disallow the use.

I know I'm a sick bastard, but I can't get the image out of my head. At least the homeowner used the proper tool for the job. It's hard to hit a bouncing object with a pistol. Using a shotgun is more like shooting sporting clays.

That's the way I read it, it sounds like the little creeps mothers accosted the guy with a shotgun after he told the kids to leave. They hit him in the face then buttstroked him with the shotgun before they fired the shotty. That is some scary stuff.

It will be intersting to see what what ethnic origin they were. I have had several problems with my neighbors kids and his wife. They fail to understand what fence means and no fireworks also means.

Simple solution was to take out both my pistols and Ar and break em down and clean them on the Patio table :) Been nice and quite around here :D
