"Evil gun this, evil gun that"

They showed a few pieces of CRAP. Including a "sohpisticated pen gun, straight out of James bond".

They can't even get the 200 guns they wanted, and they only showed one that didn't look like total junk to me.

"7 times more likely to be killed with your own gun than to use it for self defense"

Homer Simpson: "Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that."

Isn't the correct statistic something more like "7 times as likely to be killed with your own gun (including suicide) than to defend youself with it by killing your attacker?" They obviously don't want to count all the successful defenses that don't involve killing the attacker, there are too many.

Yup, it is, and they don't. They do, though, want to count suicides with guns, as though people who don't have access to a firearm won't commit suicide. (That turns out not to be the case.)
