I was dropping off some steel over at Phillips and noticed it is posted on the scale. It just has a picture of the banned pistol, no wordings on it. I guess I will be heading over to the other steel place in town.

Maybe they just don't want you recycling pistols? The owner probably wants to buy it off you instead of melting it down.

Have no fear doing business there. I have open carried on more than one ocassion with not a word said. I believe they just do not want guns disposed of in your mixed steel just in case it is left loaded and was to go off. Safety First LOL

If you're going to recycle your gun, recycle it by giving it a new home, not a meltdown!

I'll buy any guns meant for recycling, at triple the scrap-metal weight value the scrappers'll give you!
