Beautiful facility, excepting the sign...

This is only of the front door, didn't check the others (as if it mattered anyway).

1501 Central Parkway, Eagan. Main Line: (651) 675-5550

Sounds like a Duluth style Skogie sign.

The sign originated with the Eagan City Council. It might be time to give them fair notice that conspiring to deprive citizens of their legal rights under color of law is actionable.

But I'm not an attorney. Joe? Paul?

Well, they aren't saying guns are banned. They are just not welcome. You can still being them in, just don't expect anyone to befriend your gun.

I wonder how much taxpayer money was wasted on that!

There's a church here in town with a similar sign. They state that *you're* welcome but your guns are not. This is a place of peace, you know.

If that's the way they feel about it, why not put up the proper "XXX bans guns on these premises" and make it real?

I realize that the City community center can't legally post it..

That's when you drop your "No Guns No Money" card into the collection plate!

I much prefer non-compliant signs, myself.

Posting non compliant signs isn't illegal per se, in that no laws are being broken by them hanging up that silly sign. If I were an Eagan resident I'd be calling the mayor or a city council rep. and asking how much of the taxpayers money they wasted. But that's just me.

Personally I like non compliant signs- they make the sheeple feel good, and have absolutely no impact on us.

They are so mean not to welcome our guns! Oh well keep carring them. :D

Maybe BANNED is not a politically correct word anymore, so they substituted NOT WELCOME instead.

I kinda like it.

I've already been down this road with the Mayor and City Council in Eagan:

I'm waiting until after the election to pursue it further, in the hopes that there will be more reasonable people in charge that won't play games with their citizens.

Idiots!

I don't know if [my XD] could take that kind of a rejection.

In consideration of my borderline grumpy mood yesterday coupled with the (probably wrong) message I was trying to get across in another thread, I'll be eating crow for breakfast this morning.... I'll take solace in the fact that at least I provided photos...

The idiot signs are still there as of Sunday.

I asked the woman behind the front desk about them and she said it was city council policy. I asked her if she knew the signs were legally meaningless and she just repeated that it was council policy.

That certainly gives me a warm and fuzzy for those on the council.
