They have the, "Hennipen County Library prohibits dangerous weapons in this establishment." Sign up.

check the fine print at the bottom. I don't know about Southdale, but my local branch "allows" permit holders. Thanks to Reaver and others here.

That must be the only one in the system. Brookdale pulled theirs even though there is a court building attached. See: http://www.twincitiescarry.com/forum/vi ... php?t=3677

Well your gun isn't a dangerous weapon. You're trained and know how to use it.
Their sign must be for people without permits

I had pestered them about this and gotten them to change to the sign with the fine print at the bottom allowing lawfull carry by permit holders. Last time I was there, a few weeks ago, it still read that way.

Perhaps they've changed back, in which case I'll get on them again, or perhaps you missed the fine print. I'll check it out on my way home tonight.

I checked it out last night. You're right. They have removed the fine print at the bottom (excluding permit holders from the ban).
The Edina library still has the fine print, so it seems someone at Southdale is playing games.

Man it pisses me off that they are wasting my tax dollars to change from accurate signs to inaccurate confusing signs. They are making a Reaver like episode more likely, which could result in a law suit, which would be paid with my tax dollars  Some one needs to get their ass fired.

I'll start making some calls.

There is a new "old DFL" county attorney in charge.

My guess is it's someone specific to the location, since the other court/library complexes haven't put their signs back up.

Last week I finally got the time to call about this. Got an answering machine, left a message. Haven't heard back yet. Will definitely be following up on this until I get an answer.

There is no such thing as the Strategy Forum. Look into this red light for a moment, please.
