I think some of the posters are starting to realize they were afraid of the wrong people. However, some are too ignorant to ever figure that out. Let them keep furnishing safe zones for criminals.

So what happens if the police come to investigate a burglary? Are they supposed to leave their sidearms in the car?

Of course, people who post such signs probably think the police are a bigger problem than the criminals.

Both Joel and I know several people who post (though not with the standard sign, because it isn't required in a private home).

You're right, we should all IMMEDIATELY sever all ties with ANYONE who does not COMPLETELY hold with our views in ALL matters. Otherwise we run the risk of competing ideals and contamination from people who don't think exactly like we do.

I have a relative or two that have notified me they don't want guns in their house. We visit there less maybe but I comply.

Oh, I know people who don't want guns in their house. I don't know anybody so kooky that they post a sign about it on their house. (In fact, I don't think I know anybody who has a sign of any kind on their house right now.)

I don't have time for that kind of stupidity or people who are that intolerant.

I've run into the opposite. Growing up, my one of my girlfriends father had this on their front door.

He also parked his Harley in the center of the living room.
