They have a 4 in. X 4 in. tiny little sign on one of the doors that says "No Weapons Allowed” with a silhouette of a revolver with the circle around it with a line through it. I had a chuckle as I carried past it. Camera was in the car so didn't get a picture of it.

Just carry a Semi-auto or full auto gun and your fine. They just don't like the "Church of the Revolver" in the theater.

I was at the Rosedale AMC this past weekend and it looks like they have new signs. (I never saw the old ones.) I didn't think to take a picture but if I remember right the signs follow, or nearly follow, the AMC THEATERS INC., BANS GUNS IN THESE PREMISES language requirement. They seemed small, so they might not meet the size requirement.

I'm very disappointed since it's a nice new theater that wasn't in Block-E or MOA. :(

As always, money talks, so I strongly suggest that whoever sees a sign at one of these theaters simply get the phone number for the management from any employee (do NOT say why) and then make the simple call (using *67 to block caller ID) and say politely that "as long as those silly no-gun signs are up, neither I nor any of my family and friends will be spending our money at your theater."

It works, and I'd also get the Corporate Headquarters number and send them the same message, perhaps mentioning that Minnesota has 50,000 permit holders who also go to movie theaters...

Sounds good to me -- but no reason to dial *67. Why do you care if the theater management has your caller ID?

We have nothing to be ashamed of.

When you call, tell them the name of the competing theater you will be patronizing instead.

Or not. Most theater chains are owned by just a few corporations. If you don't research which chain owns the new one, you might be saying "Instead of giving you money at your Theater A, I'm going to give it to you at your Theater B".

Signs yes, but crotch level. The whole sign was below my belt and yes, tiny. Not sure the signs were 50 square inches, let alone the required 187.

The print might have been only 1/2 short of the required 1 1/2"

White with black print, no pictures.

We didn't get in on the film anyhow. . . .

Heck, as for blocking your caller ID, the cards I leave at posted establishments has my full name and a contact number on it and they're encouraged to call me if there's any part of my card they don't understand. No calls yet. For that matter, I'd be more concerned about giving my name and number out to THIS group!

Oops, we just went to that theater a week ago (girlfriend dragged me into "baby mama") and I carried right past the door unaware they were "posted".

Guess I'll switch to the Marcus theater in Oakdale and see if I see anything there.

If I remember right, some sets of doors have the sign and some don't.
