Is it just posted, or are there more severe actions taken (wanding etc)

In my experience at both the State and Orpheum theaters, the rigor of security is inversely proportional to the average age of the crowd.

In all the times I've been to either theater in the past 10 years, it's been to rock/progressive rock bands that don't really appeal to young, run of the mill trouble makers. We were observed, but never were never closed to being frisked/patted/wanded.

We go there to plays quite a bit. Just posted, no wanding, etc.

Yup, never had wanding or patting the couple of times I've visited in the past year.
