Just a reminder for those who are interested, that there is a steel shoot on Saturday 6/28 at the Gopher club in Hutchinson Setup at 8:30, shooting starts at 9:30.
Bring water and sunscreen along with the other shooting accoutrements!

I had to empty out my trunk because there was water in it. Fixed the broken tail light, dried the carpet, reassemble. I assumed that I got everything put back into the car. Well as I am standing at the range I had 100 rounds of .308, lots of .22, even some .40S&W. I don't currently have a functional pistol that can safely use .40S&W.

Bob was a nice guy and saved my day. :)

A perfect opportunity, and a built in story to tell the .EX- wife.

May as well make the announcement.....

I filed for divorce in May 2007. If I have seemed ornery or touchy about things in the last year. It is because of the situation that has surrounded what is turning into a rather nasty divorce.

To include being arrested for domestic assault which was dismissed, charges of disorderly conduct for asking for a search warrant, and having my kids taken from me on valentines day because I took the cell phone away from my oldest daughter.

So,

If I make it to a Steel shoot, it's because I do not have my kids that weekend, or I don't have anything else planned.

Life has it's moments.

Did they find the domestic was unfounded or are you still dealing with trying to get your CCW? Domestic assault is one of the charges that will get your CCW taken away, right?

Sorry to hear you are having a bad time!

The domestic charges were dismissed. The OFP was in place until Apr 2, 2008.

I now have my permit to carry again. As well as my firearms and have continued to start teaching the MN and Utah permit classes.

Even when the OFP was in place, the judge allowed me to possess for purpose of teaching and / or competing. Go figure.

And yes, Domestics and OFP's will very much get your permit and firearms taken away.

Your renewal should be interesting.

Good luck and best wishes.
