Surveillance video captures teens armed robbery spree

Police arrested four teenagers after several armed robberies across the Twin Cities.

At 7:45 p.m. Friday night, police say three masked gunmen walked into Hugo Liquor, pointed a gun at a customer and demanded cash.

Tim St. Claire, who works at Hugo Liquor, says the store owner was in the back and slipped out a rear door to call police. As he left, surveillance video shows a customer make a move at one of the gunmen and he fired at a wine rack.

The thieves left and made their way north on Highway 61.

Police then got a call and realized the suspects were in Wyoming, Minnesota, at Rick's Liquor Store.

"Our sheriff's dispatch received a 911 hang up call from Rick's Liquor Store on Highway 61," said Wyoming Police Chief Scott Dexter.

Dexter says the clerk at Rick's Liquor Store saw the suspects' getaway car after the suspects left the store.

Police pulled the car over and three males and one female were arrested. In the car police found a rifle that was used in a hold up in White Bear Lake on Wednesday night at a Super America.

Geez....Hugo Liquor is just south on Hwy 61 from my house, and I buy my Coor's Light there all the time (and I'm always carrying too). Freakin' idiots....glad they got caught and they're lucky they didn't get killed.

I was under the impression they had a .22 rifle. One video I saw showed stained carpet from the wine rack they shot at, plus some spent shells.

When I saw the .22 brass the deputy was holding on TV, my first comment was, "Up in Hugo, there are lots of people who carry. Those kids are lucky that nobody shot back."

You know, like some sheepdog. :)

:D :D :D

And now on the news today you can see their mugshots. Just a bunch of dumb kids (one of them a young female no less)! I hope they all get tried as adults, and they realize that they easily could have got themselves killed for doing such a stupid thing.

Somehow, I am really surprised that they didn't shoot that doberman.

WTF is up with liquor store owners not ready to defend against armed robbers, anyway? Don't they read the papers?

Besides, liquor stores are about the only businesses that have any cash on hand anymore.
