When I joined the board I mentioned that I may or may not carry when I get my PTC. I never have really felt very threatened anywhere I have gone, except one story in a Wally World parking lot. Tonights KARE 11 news though is a bit of a eye opener, like OMG my class next week can't come fast enough and I hope Henn. Cty really doesn't take the full 30 days.

Top 5 news stories 9-28-09

1. Richfield robbery/shooting
2. Anoka/Hennipen#11 School closings
3. MPLS car wash shooting
4. MPLS Burger King shooting 9-27
5. Female walker/jogger assault in park

edited to change my dates cause I can't read a calander... that's what that A/H#11 education got me...

Yet some people will still try to tell you that carrying a gun around makes you paranoid.

Yet compared to Milwaukee, Minneapolis is actually a pretty decent city. Good thing Wisconsin has a great carry...whoops.

But Brian's right, there seems to be an uptake lately in goblins. Let's hope we don't hit Murderapolis round two.

*sigh* ...and my girfriend wants to go to an uptown bar tonite for a co-workers going-away gathering.

Problem is, I don't know if the place it's at tries to ban carrying, and if they do, how thorough their security checkpoints are.

I need a better, more discreet, holster dammit...

What's happening is that we are returning to normal. Some weird thing happened, where we got a half crime rate for about 8 months. But it now seems to have worn off.

Maybe the goblins were staying home, checking the mailbox for a reparations check from Obama. Doesn't look like it's coming, so, back to business as usual.

Of course the cops claimed credit for the respite. Wonder if they'll take the blame for the resumption?

I've been wondering when it was going to hit. Reversion to the mean and all...
