The real strength is in local, grassroots, pro gun groups who hold youth shoots, phone bank for pro-gun candidates, hold safety classes, write letters to the editor, meet with their politicians, pass along alerts and the like. It’s those tangible, small steps taken by many that will make the difference in securing our gun rights. However, these are the very things that many gun owners think don’t make a difference.

Sir Edmund Burke said it quite well; “No one could make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.”

We all have to engage our neighbors, friends, relatives and do those little things like fax your [legislator] with our views, put up the yard sign, register conservatives to vote, phone bank and precinct walk for that pro gun city council hopeful. We will be lifted up by the small deeds of many and eventually we will win the gun wars.
