So, guys,

Having recently moved to the Cities I don't have my bearings just yet. I live in uptown Minneapolis and travel between there and the Wayzata area frequently.

What's nice in the way of ranges, indoor and outdoor, in the west Metro?

Whether it's public or members-only, whatever. The most important thing is reasonable shooting. So, where do you shoot?

Bills is the obvious reply. Its pretty nice, $15 bucks for unlimited time, $12.50 if you buy 20 tokens at once.

A little farther west is the Minnetonka Sportsmans Club (members only, with a waiting list) nice outdoor setup, and very reasonably priced. Otherwise I really like the Burnsville Pistol Range, although that would be south.

If you're willing to go 15 miles west of Wayzata on hwy 12 there's Delano. No waiting list, members and members guest only.

$130 for the 1st year, $80 each year there after or $30 if you put in 4 hours of volunteer work at the club.

Even further West to Monticello and you have Monticello Sportsmens Club (members/members guests only, $600 deposit for a membership, $25 year fees), Inrange (public, indoors), and I think one more club.

Wavery Rod and Gun Club, Watertown Rod and Gun Club, Dassel Rod and Gun Club, and there's Also Rainbow Sportsmans' Club in Cokato.

There's also a range in Eden Prairie open on Saturday to the public. Indoors, Not sure of the fee. I think the police run it, but the public can shoot to

It's only for a few hours for most of the reservations. And most are during the week. I can shoot damned near all the time Jim.

And fyi, the range is outdoors, but has covered shooting benches.

That about 1 week a month, for partial days at best, most of the time a couple of hours.
