Second stolen gun confiscated in one weekstory linkYONKERS – For the
second time this week, Yonkers Police have taken a
stolen handgun off the streets.
On Thursday morning around 6 a.m., officers saw a teen climbing a wall in the rear of 51 Ash Street. He placed an object on top of a roof shed in the year.
Police questioned him about his actions and recovered a loaded 45 caliber handgun from the roof.
The gun was reported stolen from Dade County, Florida.Marcus Chambers, 17, of Yonkers,
did not have a pistol permit and was in possession of a bag containing 10 twists of crack cocaine.He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.
On Wednesday morning,
police recovered a 44 caliber handgun that was reported stolen in Pasco County, Florida in 2005. Juan Picart, 18, of Yonkers was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal possession of
stolen property in the fourth degree.
