"Police executed a search warrant at the Stebic home in mid-May 2007 which included examination of the family computer and two vehicles. Investigators are not releasing results of the forensic evidence gathered.

But police said they found more than 15 guns at the home, all registered to Craig Stebic. While some were clearly hunting guns, others were not."

It sounds like this guy killed his wife, but I don't care for the writer demonizing the fact that he owned guns and the implication that some he owned weren't hunting guns and thus "politically incorrect"!

Of course, any "news" item associated with Nancy Grace is suspect on so many levels!

But is says right in the constitution that we have the right to arm bears ... or is it hunt bears?

I'm not sure that we can get it out of everyone's mind that the differences between these firearms is purely cosmetic / ergonomic. If it were local news I'd send off a correction but CNN is like a black box.

Sure, Hunting guns are incapable of taking human life, didn't you know? It is in their programing. Only evil looking guns and poorly made guns (Saturday Night Specials) are capable of taking human life.

Well, we all must admit that very few drive-bys perpetrated by one of our urban low-riding pants gentlemen involve a Charles Daly side-by-side.

Point well made. Isn't it amazing how quickly people forget history?

I don't remember seeing an AR-15 in Charles Whitman's inventory.

I sent the CNN folks a comment telling them the same basic thing. Don't include useless information in a story if there is no basis to relate it. Or else include an inventory of all other potential murder weapons in the house like knives, hammers, rope, drugs, etc. I don't expect a reply or for them to care but at least I feel better.
