I like the GI Series 1911s just as they are.. old fashioned, tiny sights and all. It's a replica gun, after all.

Springfield is able to keep the price down on these, I think, because the frames are made in Brazil.

Cool. Another piece of Brazilian steel to keep my Taurus 85 and Taurus PT111 company! :)

Thanks for the link! I think I know what I need to do with some of my Christmas bonus. They're even including some neato accessories with it.

Thanks for the link. I had some pictures of the .45 XD from the Brian Enos forum but I am an idiot and don't know how to post pics yet on this forum.

If the rumor is true and the 'feds'( according to the latest American Handgunner magazine) are looking for a .45 caliber replacement for the Beretta 9mm, this could be a front runner.

There are only 2 hands- The right hand and the wrong hand. Since the right hand is the right hand, the left hand must be........

I suppose it is a little annoying being a southpaw in the gun world sometimes!

Yeah - I have a P95, I'm a lefty, and I can hardly find new ones!

I should give in to the inevitable and get a Glock. :)

Do you carry it? I don't have a ccw yet, but it is in my plans. I was thinking of getting a different carry piece, but this is such a workhorse...I don't know. I picked up a very cheap uncle mikes holster with my last cheaperthandirt purchase...I think it may work (the gun, not the holster) for some carry. I have two highnoon's on order...sometime this spring I should get them  (I spoke with them, they'll take the one I don't like back for full credit...one is canted, one isn't-unless I get something else in time to change the order.)

I'm sure I'll have a glock or an xd soon enough too...can't fight the wrong handers forever :D
