I just picked up 60# of lead bars with RCBS stamped on them. I bought it for making sinkers and jigs for fishing when they get around to banning it. I paid $20 and 20 spinners (my cost about $12) for it. Did I do alright?

My opinion is that you made a great deal. Lead (unalloyed) is currently selling at between $.80 and $.85 per lb. in large quantities. You paid about $.50 per lb. I consider that pretty good, especially for what I suspect is a clean alloy tailored for bullet making.

Back in the days when a lot of hot-metal printers were scrapping their lead and going to photo-comp, I bought a "considerable" amount of Linotype/Intertype ingot bars for $.15 per lb. I still have a great deal of that left, along with some harder foundry type. Hmmmm. One of these days I have to get that Lee melter going again.
