I am about to start reloading my .223 brass.
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good die set?

I have had great success with Lee, Lyman and RCBS. Not so good with Hornady.

TIA

I am using a RCBS set and it is working fine, I do not have any feeding problems so I did not need to buy a small base resizing die. I have used it in a Dillon press and an old Herters single stage.

You won't go wrong with either Redding or RCBS, I prefer Redding.

I have had good luck with dillon, RCBS, hornady and lee, the Reddings are good too, but no longer have those.

I have very good luck with Dillon dies when they are in the dillon presses.

I would go with the LEE for one reason - the decappers are impossible to break - if you hit a berdan or a crimped primer that just will not move (it has happened) you will bend over a traditional decapping insert - LEE will just slip the collett.

For the $$$ Lee is my pick (that is about all that I use and I have never broken a DeCapper....

I am probably the last guy qualified to give advise on thei but I will pass along John Walton at Gunstop's advise.

He strongly recommended I buy the Dillion carbide dies. I have loaded about 1000 rounds so far and they have performed flawlessly.

Good Luck
