What are your recommendations for reloading for unsupported chambers?

Do? don't? special dies?

I have between 1500 and 2000 .40 cal cases, tumbled and cleaned awaiting approval and purchase of components.

Also, how to reload for less than $0.15 a round? I found bullets being the limiting factor as they need(?) to be jacketed?

First off all semi autos have an unsupported chamber to some extent. Glocks are made just looser compared to some other brands. You can rebarrel a glock for around a $100.00 with a Storm Lake barrel. They are drop in fit and don't need a gunsmith to fit them.
As far as reloading for them, use common sense. In other words don't HOTROD your rounds. There is no need to run powder charges up at the maximum amount! That and double charges are where the problems occur. Right no Midway USA has 3000 Rainier Leadsafe 155 gr 40 caliber bullets for $225.99 with free shipping. Thats $0.075 per bullet. Trust me, thats a good deal.

Tupperware has to be "burped" to ensure a good pressure seal!!!

P.S. - If you want to "Hot Rod" a 40, then you shoulda bought a 10mm in the first place!! Seriously, pushing the top end in a 40 is NOT a good idea, so don't do it!! If you start to get THAT itch, an EAA all steel Witness in 10mm is only $359 NIB.

I haven't seen those leadsafe bullets before, It appears that a lot of those reviewers are shooting them out of glocks.

I don't need super hot rounds, just something to lower the cost of shooting perferably.

I tried plated bullets in my Glock in 9mm - they do not work well at all.

I tried plated bullets in my Sig - they work very well - I use cast bullet loading data for them as they are not really jacketed bullets and they are not really cast - but it works.

I use Unique - a mild charge of it - enough to run the gun reliably. 40 is a pretty stout little caliber and we need to be mindful of that.

As in they do not work well at all period in a glock. I do not think that they make a god gas seal.. They are really soft.
