On further searching, the reviews are definitely mixed.

I occasionally have people ask for a good inexpensive .22 for pests and I haven't seen one for $132 before.

I bought one of these last summer. Long crunchy trigger. Accuracy is okay if you can hold still for the trigger. Scope is typical low end. Clear at low mag., above 6 or 7x, not so much. Parts are unavailable yet. I stoned the sear and it got some better. If you shorten the trigger pull at all on this model the trigger safety becomes "dysfunctional". (Oh and no parts available, did I mention that?) I would pass on buying another.

I'm feeling generous. Let's splurge and spend the $6000 on 32 Ruger 10/22's instead. :)

Hey, I'm pretty good at thoughtlessly spending other people's money. I should be in government!

Yup. Ruger 10/22's have always been my previous recommendation if someone asks.

The nice thing about the Ruger 10/22's is that you can get real (relatively) cheap ones that function, and then you can spend lots of dollars making a shooter out of them, or anywhere in between................

I use one that is set up to play at 100-200 yds with a scaled target. It saves on the .308 and 6.5x284 ammo and barrels.....................

We've got 'Yotes running around Woodbury, mangey bastards. Have'nt heard of any resident complaints. Absolutely no complaints from me if they eat cats.
Have to register dogs each year, (under the domestic animal statute) so I had it out with the cops, why no cat registration? Of course I cried bullshit, calling wandering domestic felines more of a problem than stray dogs. Needless to say, they refered me to city hall for a kennel license,(4 dogs, only allowed 3) they let me register all 4   The wife's 4 toy Poodles were deemed troublesome  so the City would send the Police "community service" officer around WEEKLY.....WTF bunch of cnuts............I quit drinking soon after my outburst with the cops over the dog licenses and we now have 3 dogs.................I still don't like my local constabulary............but life goes on.
We have a field that is full of wildlife right off 494, lots of Turkeys and deer, one evening I pulled over to watch the deer, all had their tails up.....mmmmmmmmm 'Yote in the middle of about 14 deer.......feerless
also see them running along Valley Creek Road between 494 and Radio Dr, so before they give me a horn, 8) 8) 8) 8) 10/22
