Due to the prices, it might be worth picking one (or more) of these up. Although GM's standard prices aren't typically in line with Joe's or Sportsman Warehouse, there appear to be some good deals in this week's ad. These even beat some gunshow prices I've seen. If you own one of these, please comment. You'll likely be helping pick my next gun. (I'm heavily considering the HighPower, XD40, or S&W22A.)

Beretta U22 Neos Target 6" $199.99
S&W 22A 5 1/2" $199.99
Browning Buckmark Micro Bull Barrel 4" 219.95
Ruger 22/45 Mark III 5 1/2" 199.99.

Springfield Armory XD40 S&W package $499 (.45ACP for 529)
S&W M&P 40S&W 499.99

Browning HighPower Practical 9mm 599.95
Beretta 9000S F 9mm 349.95
Beretta 92FS 9mm w/ blemished frame under grip 449.99

Thanks,

I didn't -- but it's a good thing to know. Details?

All good deals - I think that the XD's are a tad high - but still not bad.

The Gander ad this weekend showed an AR-15!

I think this is the first time they've carried Evil Black Rifles.

They've had them for a while: http://www.twincitiescarry.com/forum/vi ... php?t=1744

Oh, okay. But now they're advertising the fact!

Looks like evidence of a cultural shift to me.

I got my XD45 at Gander's in Lakeville. They were pretty close to MSRP IIRC. But across the freeway at J&S they wanted something like $60 over MSRP- and they copped an attitude when I asked them if they'd consider something closer to MSRP. Gander got the sale- first handgun I've not purchased at J&S.

Maybe they should inform their salesmen. Mankato GM wouldn't match Cabela's sale price on a Mossberg 835 Grandslam for me. They didn't have one in stock and would have had to order it; maybe that was the difference. I told them I guess I would have to make the 40 minute drive to Owatonna then.

GM has the official price match policy at the customer service counter. Theoretically GM will price match, but there are a lot of disclaimers. I'm pretty sure it must be in stock at both places and it's within a certain area.

Has anyone dealt with J&S since the new guys took over? I've been in there a few times.

Scheels in Mankato had that exact Browning "mismarked" at $229, and another at $249. But he said they'd sell it to me for the $229 price since it was there error. I really had no need for another, but man, at $219, hmmm. I have the 5" version and it's sure been a good gun. That Ruger 22/45 looks neat too.

Yeah, I have. I tried to buy an XD-45 from the store under the new owners and when I pointed out to them that they we charging way over suggested retail I consider their reaction rather rude. Snotty, almost.
Not sure if that's their way or if it was just the sales person.
I've purchased a few containers of powder there since, but haven't tried to buy anything more substantial since I got the XD45 (Ganer Mountain is right across the freeway and was way cheaper than J&S).

I forgot to log in on the prior post and thus it was posted as a guest. It was posted by Jerry 45 who is the owner of the Carry Depot. BTW, our website should be up and running next week - check out www.carrydepot.com for specials!

Whoopsie.

There shouldn't be any forums that allow anonymous posting. I missed this one.
