Hey Gang,

My wife found this a couple weeks ago. KS95 has a link to a bunch of different 1/2 price gift certificates:

http://www.hubbardradio.com/hpholidays/ks_home.htm

Of particular interest to us would be a 1/2 price gift certificate for Bill's Range. $50 certificate for $25 (plus $3.50 for s&h). Expire 12/07. They're good for two shooters on a shared lane, one rental, and a target.

I didn't post this earlier because we bought out the last batch, but a few days ago they put another 99 up for sale. Looks like there's still 98 left in the new batch.

Also here on KSTP 1500.

These look like a 12/31 expiration date.

Does anyone know what the expiration means? I expect it means they will only sell the deal until either they all sell or the expiration date and the Gift card is good until used...

They expire on 12/31/2007 (next year)

I swear I wasn't hinting but aparently my dad took my e-mail to heart and has invited me to go shooting next week.

These are a great idea!

That $50 value at Bill's breaks down as follows, as near as I can tell:

$20 Lane rental
$10 Added person
$15 gun rental
$1 Target
$4 Eye and ear protection x2

For $25, if you need a gun rental, it's a good deal.

But if you compare that to Burnsville, for you and a friend to bring your own (one) gun would cost this:

$11 Lane rental
$ 5 Additional person
$.50 Target
$0 Ear protection
$0 Eye protection
------
$16.50 total

I actually choose to shoot at Bill's sometimes. When you buy tokens 20 at a time, they are only $12.50 each, and you don't pay to bring extra guns.

But sometimes a bargain isn't a bargain.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say.

Burnsville is indeed less expensive Unless I figure in my time and gas. Trust me, with a couple kids, my free time isn't free by any means.

Dad and I actually have memberships at Metro Gun club which allow us to shoot for an hour for $16 combined. But that doesn't include a handgun rental and since Dad may have come down with the new Gun itch, this is a great way to scratch it.

When I'm in Burnsville, however, it is THE place to go.

You'll notice I bought mine before I told anyone about it!

Obviously it's not a great deal if you go by yourself, but to take someone new and have a rental at your disposal, I figured it was a good deal. My wife is getting interested in my new hobby now, so I'll be using mine to take her to the range for the first time. Dad got one too. We're both pretty new at this, so it's fun to have the rental to try new stuff.

Enjoy!

I've got my extended family coming into town on New Years and they all woudl like to run to the range on day. Could I use three of these for the 6 of us on 3 lanes? If so it would save me some bucks.
