I've heard good things about Herman Oak Leather from Gary Brommeland and other holster makers (Combatcarry.com for source). Guarana posted a link to E-leatherwork.com (http://www.eleatherworks.com/home.php) from there I found the following item:

http://www.eleatherworks.com/product.ph ... 582&page=1

This is a side of 7/8 oz Full Grain Tooling Leather from Herman Oak. $6.30 per Sq Foot with 18-20 SF per side.

A side is illustrated here: http://www.tandyleather.com/LeatherGuide.asp

I'm thinking ~$115 is too much investment for me at this time but I'd be interested in splitting it 4-6 ways. we can either bid for first pick or draw straws, D and E from that illustration are the choice picks but all of it is good.

PM me with interest.

I picked up a 16s.f. hunk (of no 2 I think) the other day for $4 a sqft...

I probably don't need the whole thing - don't have any new plans for anything big yet... I could be talked into splitting it with you if you're interested.

what're the odds? A Herman Oak 7-8 Oz Veg tanned order? if so, 8 sf would be GREAT!

ah... Gotcha. I keep hearing such good things about Herman Oak Leather so I was looking to try Herman Oak but they're sold only n whole sides (lotsa SF) and you have to find a distributor.

Thanks for the offer though.

OK, I'd like to get two more to split but could be talked into any split you want. I'd ideally like to take 1/4 of the side something like 5-6 sf so ~$40

We can do 1/4 (you) and 3/4 (me) if you want.

Dang it... this is what I get for not getting all my required reading done today. I would be interested in a quarter of that if it's still possible. Now to find a peice with 5 quarters.

I'm still interested. I have been told that I should start carrying my 500 magnum so I guess I need a holster for it.

CRAP. Snooze you lose. They discontinued Herman Oak products :-(

I'll need to look for another source.
