up close and personal before you order - I already have a couple of them. I work in downtown Mpls and there's almost always one in my truck. Live in Brooklyn Center, but spend fair amount of time on Minnehaha Parkway near Nokomis as well. Suggest a time/place and we can work something out.

They are a little more effort to load than the HKS, since you put the rounds in, then turn the whole works over on a flat surface and push down and twist to get them locked in.

I ran the numbers through Midway with my dealer discount for "Safariland COMP-1 Speedloader Charter Arms/S&W 5-Shot 38 Special, Product #: 127569, Manufacturer #: J-C7. Whether we order 10 or 15, the price is the same per unit at $7.29 each. To ship 10 to my office downtown using US Post (cheapest available), we're looking at an additional $6.60 to the total. To ship 15, we're looking at an additional $7.30.

How many guaranteed buyers do we have that will actually pay for these once they are here? Does someone want to try to collect funds before we order? Am I placing the order or is someone else going to do it? (By the way, I can't be sure whether Midway actually has 15 to ship to us. As Dean said above, it's not clear from the site how many are in stock.)

Suggestion: since we're pretty spread out and there seems to be quite a few that want them, maybe it makes sense to have 2 orders for convenience: a Faribault order by Cobb, and a 'metro' order by Dean or onebohemian or whoever. Not quite maximizing the savings but that way nobody has to wait for a Wednesday trip to/from Faribault if they don't want to.

Two orders sounds like a good idea. Do we have a total count for fairbault vs. the metro area?

Dean, do you want to place the metro order (once we have the number) or should I?

By the way, "onebohemian (me)" is Mark Privratsky, 80 South 8th St., Suite 4200, Minneapolis, MN. Work phone (which forwards voice mails to me via email) is 612-371-3524. Cell is 763-226-5565. I've talked to some of you online and met a couple at a breakfast and the new thing.

OK (now that that the crazy real-time posting has died down), let me officially put myself down for 2 Comp I J-C7 speedloaders on the 'Faribault list'. And thanks for doing the buy, Cobb. Are they here yet?

I'll take 2 for my J-frame.

I'll go with onebohemian.

Also DONE.

What, I think it is your turn to buy lunch. It wasn't my fault that last time we met that all you wanted was a bowl of soup and I got by cheap.

So how about next time we go to Timber Lodge.

Cobb or anyone who's kept track,

What's the count for Fairbault vs. Metro. I can place the Metro order this afternoon yet if someone can tell me a number. I can't make heads or tails out of the above "I'll take 2"s except for the three last ones that specifically said the buyer was going with Cobb or me.

Thanks,

O.k., I went through the above postings and now report the following:

Fairbault (cobb) Order: westhope 2; jaysong 2; pat cannon 2; ttousi 2; Cobb ???.

Metro (onebohemian) Order: srigs 2; onebohemian 2.

I also see that the following guys want the number listed but I'm not clear on whether they want to pick them up in Fairbault or Metro area: plbark 2; lumbering buffalo 2; Dean ????.

Anybody else? I'll place the order for the metro ones early tomorrow morning so we can finalize the numbers through today.

Thanks,
