One more reason not to go to Walmart...

I hated getting dressed up to get there anyway...

I called into the walmart at my home town, they are 8.95 per box still, had them scan it and everything.

Any word on which stores are sold out?

Jon

Putz working the desk at the fridley store refused to scan to doublecheck. Was as nice as I could be. He just couldn't accept that maybe he might not know what corporate was doing with the price.

Well, here was my adventure today...

I call up the walmart in brookland park,
me:"do you have the 50 pack of 9mm for $5"
the kid:"let me check..... yeah, we have them"
me:"you sure its only $5 and how many"
the kid:"yeah yeah, probably 20"

So I get there with intent to buy 20 of them, talk to some somalian at the desk, treats me like an idiot for even asking for what I was asking for so I just left, skipped the management because by the looks of things I figured it wouldn't be any better.

So I get to the parking lot, call up maple grove walmart... $15 for the 100 pack, and $14 for the 50 pack.... I had the guy ring it up twice and check the sticker, what the heck.

Did anyone here get the $5 deal? Would they have to match it if I went in with a copy of the receipt?

I had a similar experience at Bloomington. I met my wife for lunch and decided to stop in and check. The guy argued with me about scanning them. Same atttitude as the Fridley guy.

On the other hand, the guy working the West St Paul branch was more than happy to scan it for me and even thanked me  for buying them all out THEN he told me if I hear of any other deals to come back and he'd be happy to help me.

The store that I checked the 380acp they were scanning full price. Frustrating to say the least.

I was at the White Bear Lake store today and the fifty packs were ringing up at normal price.

It is ONLY the 124gr 9mm 50 packs, most stores probably sold out a long time ago and never restocked them.

I think I checked 5 or 6 stores last week.

Gotcha, it must have been 115gr then. Wish I could have scored some cheap(er) ammo. Sixteen cents a round is too dang much for 9mm. Maybe it's time I start reloading.
