I found a possible deal at Wal Mart on 9mm ammo.

It is for WWB 124gr. 50 round box for $5.00. Regular price is just over $11.00 and even the 100 value pack is up over $15.00. I guess they are discontinuing this particular item.

I say possible deal because according to the post on The High Road it has been hit or miss on the price scanning for $5.00.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=289419

I stopped at my local Wally World and it was scanning for $5.00 so I bought everthing they had. I thought about calling first, but sometimes I find it just easier to take my chances and check it out in person.

Good Luck.

I scored 5 boxes of 380 acp at Walmart for $9 last weekend. Looks like they are thinning out their inventory.

almost got arrested on a deal like that at Wal-mart.

They had 100 round 12 ga value packs on sale.

Was told it was "illegal" to buy that much at once as I cleaned out the store.

Rothman reports that Eden Prairie Walmart has no more Winchester 9mm and he grabbed me the last box of 380 acp.

I saw no evidence that they'd ever HAD 124g 9mm.

They pull the shelf stickers and re-zone once they are sold out. They did that when I bought my 380 acp over the weekend.

FWIW, the sporting goods manager hadn't heard of any handgun ammo markdowns except the .380.

Neither had the manager at the store I bought at. I asked him to please scan the box and it scanned $5.00 even though the shelf sticker was still showing $11 something.

So which Winchester .380 are on deal? The 50 pack or 100 pack? I cant find this one. My Kel Tec needs some range time.

Thanks

Speculation is that Wal-mart is no longer going to be carrying 50rd boxes of WWB and this unannounced clearance is the last you'll ever see of it.

I'm willing to speculate that we'll see Walmart getting completely out of ammo in the years (months?) to come. It'll take them awhile but I really believe it's going to happen.
