Can it also be added to the bottom of t he main forum board index page??

The link to "Mark Forums Read" is on the main index page..top right.

Can a second similar link be added to the bottom of the main index page...just makes it more convenient etc.

No, but you can hit ctrl-home to jump to the top. ;)

Or start at the bottom of the forum and work your way to the top and then the "MARK FORUM READ" will be there when you finish.

I know, not what you asked for, but I agree that the "MARK FORUM READ" at the bottom of a forum to mark everything that you were not interested in as read, a handy button.

As far as using the home key, that would mean I would have to use the keyboard instead of my handy dandy mouse arrow when my finger is in the left click position.
