I keep having to log in every time, even though I always check the box that says "Log me in automatically." The problem dates back a few months.

Are you blocking cookies?

Or running some type of privacy software that deletes and cleans out your system of things like cookies?

Well, my computer keeps saying it's about to run out of memory, and presents me with the option of cleaning up by getting rid of a bunch of things. I always say yes, and it does whatever it does.

Unfortunately, that doesn't explain anything, because I have no trouble logging in to any other forum I regularly visit.

Only this one.

IE 7.

I downloaded it recently, but the problems have been going on since this past summer, in fact since the same time that this forum began having problems.

So: Nothing to do with cookies, since all the other forums I'm on are working just fine, and nothing to do with the browser, since the problem dates back to summer. The problem is with this forum.

Try deleting all TCC cookies, then closing the browser, starting it up again, and logging in one more time.

You could have a bad cookie, and IE7 kept it from IE6.

Also, your database settings look fine, and most other people are not experiencing your issue. That's why we're looking to your machine for answers.

Okay, and what are TCC cookies?

Go to Tools > Delete browsing history; select delete files, delete cookies, and delete history and hit close. Close IE and start it again. That should fix it.
