We'll also be raffling off two (2) 1/2 hour training sessions with Don Larson, our own DonL.

(Don gave me the choice of one one-hour session or two half-hour sessions. "Are you kidding?" I asked. "I don't think you've ever let a half-hour session go as short as half an hour." We both laughed at that.)

He is, as I've said both in front of and behind his back, a terrific shooting teacher, and I always look forward to him having a few minutes to work with me on polishing up my technique, particularly with a Glock.

Cost? Zero, again.

(Just to be clear, this is Don's time he's contributing. Range fees -- paid to the range -- are a separate matter. BPR is already generously contributing a range session; I'm not going to go back to them and ask for more. Even if Roger would say yes -- and he might -- I don't want him to think that doing me a favor is merely the first step toward me asking him for another favor, and the best way to make sure he doesn't think that is for me to not use him doing me a favor as merely the first step toward me asking him for another favor.)

(Yes, there'll be a kitty for those who want to contribute to the incidental expenses around The New Thing, but that's a separate matter. This is intended to be fun, educational, and motivational; fundraising, to the extent that fundraising is necessary, is for another time and another place.)

Thanks, Don.

How old are the kittens? House trained? My wife has been asking about getting a kitten. I told her that they are only kittens for a short time...then it is a cat. Maybe...just maybe...

I don't think it's good to do animals as door prizes, but I'd definitely like to meet -- and possibly take home -- one of the kittens.

Kittens are about 3.5 - 4 months old - Still really cute, just not so short now. They have used boxes, but lately have been "barn" cats. This is not too difficult to convert them to inside (litter box) cats. Close them in a bathroom with a litter box, food, water and a place to sleep - NO PLANTS or other dirt of any sort. Do this when you will not be home or are asleep. They will do the box stuff naturally. After a week or so they will do the box automatically - although if you have lots of plants you are inviting trouble - but we know of a cure for that - cover the dirt with rocks - they don't like the splashing stuff!

The older cat (Tiger) is about 2 yrs old

All have been raised by our kids (10 & 8 ) so they are use to LOTS of attention and are now starved for it. They have put up with our large dogs and other cats.

PM me if you would like pictures.

Post subject:  Can ammo be door prizes??

I have 100 rounds of .380 blazer ammo and no .380 to shoot it anymore, and I'd be willing to give it away. Let me know if I should bring it along.

Each to his or her own. It is the first night of Chanukah, though.

You'll like the Chanukah story -- not the miracle oil, but the brave guerilla warriors who recaptured their city from the invading forces.

Oh, the good old days...

Who's going to bring the Sfganiyout?

Edit.....

Joel,

I know this is “like taking coals to Newcastle”, but I'm willing to donate a pair of certificates for a carry class for individuals to give to family or friends to encourage them to gain some education and join the fraternity.
:D :D :D :D
