Sarah Brady is sending supporters a link to an on-line survey asking
them (as a faithful friends) to answer the questions and help guide the
Brady Campaign in their dealings with Congress and state legislatures.

Being a democratic guy, I feel compelled to share this with others
concerned about the gun control issue so the Brady's get a very clear
picture of just what the public really thinks about their issues.

Just like the surveys often sent out by pro-gun groups this survey is
more about fundraising than actually seeking anyones opinion. Please
answer the survey and consider following through on their fundraising
appeal by writing a check to your favorite gun rights group. We at the
Firearms Coalition would be very proud to receive donations in honor of
Sarah Brady.

Follow this link and answer Sarah Brady's survey:

http://www.bradynetwork.org/site/PageSe ... tiesSurvey

The "Name", "Address", and "Email" request at the top can be left blank.

If you enter an e-mail address, they might put you on their mailing list
so you can keep tabs on their activities.

Please pass this on and post it wherever you can. I'm not sure Sarah's
servers can handle the traffic we can generate!

You obviously don't understand their methodology............1. come up with the poll conclusions, 2. then the questions, 3. then start the poll

If I check "strong disagree to everything on the survey, my computer will not actually send the "submit". But if I change one answer to "disagree" from "stongly disagree" it works.

I'd bet that's programed in to prevent us skewing the data. I did not try the "strongly agree" on all questions, I'd bet that would submit, however.

Anybody know if I'm likely to be correct?

It took all of my strongly disagree responses. However, my answers will never see the light of day.

Wow, some very twisted explanations vs questions on that poll!! Give the Police & ATF more power?? to what end?? They have too much power as it is, already, especially the BATF.

Data smata... They already have their minds made up... GUNS ARE BAD!

edited to add - If you fill in the name email address you can submit with all strongly disagree responses. Your submission triggers a "stop the NRA" email to your listed email address. Go figure!

What is their definition of a "dealer"? I suppose any one who sells a single gun is a dealer.

* 5. How strongly do you agree with this statement: Congress must strengthen ATF and law enforcement's power to shut down corrupt gun dealers who supply the criminal gun market.

I would tend to agree with this statement, except I'm sure they define "corrupt" and "criminal gun market" rather loosely.

I was a bit torn on this question, because I agree that crooked dealers supplying criminals should be shut down, but I thought that they already the power to do that. In the end I disagreed with the statement because I am pretty sure law enforcement already can and do shut down bad dealers.

Most criminals get their guns through straw purchases, from relatives, or by theft. As a dealer, I can deny any sale that I am uncomfortable with, and have done so. I think most law abiding citizens who sell their gun in a private transfer would do the same. Personally, I would have a background check done to cover my ass. I gladly do that free of charge for my customers.

Cool, I wish I'd known that before; I'm a lib.
Now who do I lie to to arrange to get suppressors made legal in Minnesota?

Since there are NO RECORDS WHATSOEVER of these transactions, how can the Brady Bunch know it's not 1 in 500? Or 1 in 2?

Yes, the Bradys do consider all sellers to be "dealers." Otherwise their numbers don't work out. Just like they consider anyone under 26 to be a "child." You know, "do it for the gang-banger 'Chil......d......ren'."
