Here's a grass roots political message my dad is trying to get out. To that end, he's sending customized flyers to every gun club he can find and encouraging them to forward the message to their members.

Quote:
A Gun Club
- without the gun is only a Club

You are an GUN ENTHUSIAST
- without your gun you are but an ENTHUSIAST

VOTE in your best interest
- as an ENTHUSIASTIC gun owner on Nov. 4th

I think the stronger version of the message lies in the personalized challenge:

Quote:
The presidential election on November 4th, is the single most important event, perhaps in our lifetime, that will impact our common interest as gun owners and gun enthusiasts.
[...]
-----or perhaps----- we shall take no action.....then we can all attend the OAKDALE CLUB meetings and talk about the days past, when members passively owned guns and used to be called the OAKDALE GUN CLUB.

It has always bothered me that gun owners will turn their backs on CC people simply because they don’t carry themselves. They think people like NObama will never take their hunting rifle or shotgun away from them. It will be unfortunate if they learn the error of this thinking the hard way. Tell your dad thanks for his efforts.
