She has backed "us" (Forum members at large) on one issue I find important- guns. She's completely opposed a different "us" (family, friends, etc.) on pretty much everything else I find important- a laundry list of social issues. So yes, on one issue, she's done well. On many, many others, she stinks, IMNSHO. :)

She was a very good friend to the carry movement when she was in the Minnesota legislature.

The RNC has been unable resist trying to protray Obama as black, Muslim, nutty Christian, foreigner, elitist, and a friend of terrorists. Pick your prejudice. (
Well, he certainly spent years listening to a nutty Christian spout nuttiness when said nutty Christian was his pastor and spiritual mentor; maybe he didn't inhale. As far as we know, he's got only one terrorist buddy -- Ayers -- but that's not unusual in his neighborhood; for whatever reason or reasons, Ayers and Dorhn have long been accepted in local political/social society.

As to Bachmann, to get back to the subject, she's been great on 2A issues, and different folks will have different opinions on how good she's been on other ones.

While an interesting discussion, thanks for getting back on topic. :)

She was just on O'Riley. I thought she did very well. I hope that there's a big future in politics for her.

I'm told, (by one of the local Republican muckeddy mucks), that the RNC has now pulled it's advertising for her campaign.

That's the thanks she get for parroting their official message, and and then getting whacked for it. She's left out to dry.

I think she'll be re-elected, but if this is true it is really outrageous.

Has anyone else heard this?

I have meet Michele Bachmann and she is a wonderful person. She has supported our cause 100%. Her comments on Obama were not out of place. She has my vote as long as she wants the job.

It's true, Dick.

I think it's more for her votes against the bailout than anything. The Hardball trick question is a convenient excuse.

Frankly, I had sort of written her off as a party tool. When she voted against the bailout twice I regained some respect for her.

Just keep pissing me off RNC I'm beginning to believe your days are numbered. One of the good ones has been left behind. Great job Chris Mattews. You took another Republican down.

Or, I suppose it's possible the RNC is so confident in Michelle that even after the Hardball setup they still believe she will win resoundingly. There really is no shortage of people who really do believe Obama is anti-American.
