I'd wager that the vast majority of government workers are already forbidden from carry weapons through "employee conduct codes" and other various HR policies.

There's a difference between "immediately terminate" and "prosecute".

Big difference between state statute and conduct code.

I'm aware of the differences between the two and again, unless you're the head guy or gal for the agency, this law does not apply to you. If you are a non-sworn employee of a police department and decide to risk termination and get caught carrying a firearm, you'll get fired and the police chief/sheriff won't be prosecuted because you weren't given explicit permission to carry the firearm, so again this law doesn't have an impact.

Regardless, it's still a silly law.

I am against it. Lets say your the lone employee at a small town copshop on the overnight shift. You should be able to carry if your boss ok's it while working for your own safety. Even if you're not POST qualified.
