First off, I didn't know we had that many Sheriff's in MN! Anyway, on a typical web meandering session I somehow ended up at the site of a former Sheriff in Arizona named Richard Mack. He's been mentioned on this site a couple of times as the guy who sued the government over the Brady Bill.

At the top of his website is a bold headline about a woman named Jean Mitchell who bought 87 copies of Mack's book and personally mailed a copy to all 87 Sheriffs in MN. According to the site, three have sent her thank you notes.

The link to Ms. Mitchell's letter:

The three responses thus far:

Don't know anything about the guy yet, but I found the Minnesota connection interesting.

Mack is a true American patriot. Every county would be lucky as to have him as their chief law enforcement officer. He knows and upholds his oath to the constitution with honor, true sincerity, and proper knowledge.

One of these days I am going to get that book read.
God bless Mrs. Mitchell. I hope every one of those sheriffs accepts her gift not only with reception, but by reading and applying the contents of sheriff Mack's work.

As should every elected official. The Constitution is the only thing that really matters, and most elected officials in the last 30 years have done everything they can to circumvent it.
