You don't want a badge. There is nothing good that can come from that.

I wear one when I'm on patrol... at the mall... making sure everything is five-by-five. Gonna get trauma plates surgically implanted in my cheeks. :lol:

Many, many years ago, I worked in loss prevention for a company that shall remain nameless. We had these cute little badges to flash at people when we followed them into the parking lot and confronted them after they had stolen something. I was completely embarassed to even be carrying the thing.

As a heart attack. he said if you're gonna open carry you should have one so nut jobs aren't going 911 on your a$$.

I guess my nephew uses one during open carry, and nobody has freaked yet. it's a Minnesota conceal and cary permit owner badge that looks like a detectives badge to clip on your belt next to your gun. I saw one advertised somplace..................

As a heart attack.
It's a very, very bad idea.

I kind of thought it was not so bright, but, then it MIGHT distract from the gun if they just thought you were a cop. But, then, what are the REAL cops gonna think?

Well, yeah. And, for that matter, what are the real criminals going to think? Maybe, just maybe, Hey, this guy is a cop, and I've got warrants out on me -- maybe I should, like shoot him and get away?

It's a deeply and profoundly bad idea.

Ha, I was thinking the same thing when he was telling me about them. Thanks, I'll stay away from that. First time today, I went out OC. Got a few strange looks but no cops pulling guns yet. That was in Faribault and morristown, so, small town life!

I think it was glock world maybe where I saw these, I dunno.

Good decision; thanks for sharing it.

I'm trying to sort through this....You want to distract someone from the gun while you are carrying openly :roll: :roll: :roll:

Listen very hard to what princewally said;

It might make a good fishing lure. :) I can't think of any other reason to have one.

I'd want, like, a hundred. Plaster 'em all over a shirt. Might work well, as a bullet-resistant vest, but the real reason is that I could show Admiral Bling who's boss!
