I never thought of making a ball, We simply took a box of "caps" and hit it with a sledge Hammer. More than a firecracker, less than a "Original" M-80. We had those over 40 years ago. MMMMM. . . . M-80's. . . Dropped from the Bridge, would float on the water and go boom. Tied to a rock, Thrown off the bridge, the bridge would shake. tied to a 12 inch piece of string and a rock, the M-80 would blow water over the bridge. I'd say maybe 40 feet.

As for the Video, I'd say sure, you could start a chain reaction with a BB Gun. All the caps in the box were exploded.

God, how I miss a big box of M-80's and a box of cherry-bombs. Even the standard firecrackers of today aren't nearly the same as those from my childhood. :(

Having never experimented like that, I defer to your knowledge.

EOD in Iraq should recruit those kids... They apparently have no qualms about hitting high explosives, and might be light enough to survive the blast! The entire city could be cleared of IED's in a day. (j/k)
