Lou Alessi, one of the worlds finest holster makers has died, after a long bout with cancer.

Though I never had the chance to meet him in person, we spoke on several occasions and it was always a pleasure. The quality of his work bespoke volumes about this man. He will be sorely missed. In pace recquisat.

That is a very sad day. He was the best holster maker of all time. :(

Yep, I have one of his holsters. He was a luminary of his trade, a pioneer and perfecter of the craft. By all accounts as honorable and honest as the day is long.

May his memory be honored, and his spirit renewed in the everlasting.

A rare holster artist and will always cherish the two holsters Lou made for my HK's last December. Although we never physically met, our private emails as two old guys communicating for the last 8 months reinforced my belief in humanity. A true loss to the gun community and the world.
