I've recently picked up a model 14-4 and a model 17-4, looking for holsters for both.
Right handed, prefer leather.

Right handed, prefer leather. Obvious question: what's your budget, and IWB/OWB preference? The usual recommendations apply, but if you've go the waiting time and money, there's always Mitch Rosen. (My new 5G just shipped today.)

These would be for open carry on a belt, mostly plinking up north.
The Mitch Rosen prices don't scare me, but I'm probably looking for something more simple...

I just got a Simply Rugged Loaded Pancake for my Vaquero. Very nice! It is a much better finish than the Silver Dollar Pancake I bought a few years ago. Rob's come a long way. I think the Sourdough Pancake would fit the bill for you. Or you could contact one of locals (SRIGS and/or Vlad) to see what they could do.
I also picked up the Chesty Puller system for the Loaded Pancake. Jury's still out on that. Quality is very good, just not sure about the design yet.

Seeing no one else is saying it, try member Srigs for a new one, he makes them, fails to charge enough, and stands behind his work, and he often delivers.
