Joel, this was your reply to another thread. Could you please expand on this thought with regards to the holster.
All pocket holsters are going to cover the trigger guard, are there some that will allow you to fire without drawing the weapon out of the holster?
Or are you simply speaking of having a gigantic pocket in which to draw the weapon and rotate it upward as to point at the BG, while never having to remove your hand from your pocket?

I use an UM Pocket Holster #4 which would allow me to get a full grip and put my finger on the trigger if required. The trigger is covered but not tightly.

I don't put anything in the gun pocket except for the gun and holster so no issue. I'm sure Joe will share...

I use a UM #3. The sides of the holster are tacky so it stays in your pocket and you can easily slide the gun out just enough to get your finger in the trigger without drawing the gun.

When things start to look a little hairy, I tend to put my hand in my pocket with my finger out side the holster.

I have a very nice jacket with pockets mid way up, instead of near the bottom. The pocket openings just happen to be large enough to put my .357 + holster in, and after several times of practice drawing it appears that the pistol comes out easy enough.

On to the point which is because of the positioning of the pockets, I can have my hand in my pocket on the .357. I always rest my trigger finger on the outside of the holster, but if things really start to look hairy, then it is a simple matter to slip my finger inside of the holster.

If the pocket is enough larger than the pistol and holster, getting the holster enough off the pistol to acquire the trigger isn't a problem. Literally all of my side jacket pockets are large enough for that, for a snubby/pocket holster combination.

The UM (Uncle Mike's) holster is floppy enough for you to get a finger inside the trigger guard quite easily.

Note that it most likely needs a hammerless gun to fire more than one shot.

Selection of the holster is important if this is an option you want. the holster either needs to be loose enough to allow the cylinder to rotate or you need to have enough room to partially withdraw the revolver until you have the necessary clearance to pull the trigger AND for the cylinder to rotate.

Yeah, pocket holsters are generally not molded that tight but I have seen some kydex ones with retention screws and extreme molding that made me go hmmm...
