I just finished my favorite holster so far. I call it the Quick Change because you can swap out the belt loop straps via the Chicago screws. It is an IWB with a re-enforced opening for one handed re-holstering.

This one has been a progression of starts and stops. I took apart the holster once completely (note the stitch holes in the back) to change the design from a double loop strap with snaps (Yes plblark you were right not strong enough) to the current design.

So far, I have used it twice and it holds great, protects the side well, no problem one handed re-holstering and conceals well.

I need to get back on the ball and start making things again. I've been happy with the adjustable IWB I made last time and hence not as busy trying to find the next great thing.

Is that angle iron in the picture or a belt loop reinforcement?
I've seen screw in snaps (the screw goes through the bowl of the snap and attaches it to the holster) which might be less conspicuous if they show and would make it a removable IWB holster

I'm guessing that the black "angle iron" in the photos is a replacement belt loop to go with black belts.

That holster looks very similar to the High Noon "Down Under" that I carry my Warthog in. It works very nice for me and also has a replacement black belt loop.

That looks like a great holster. I really like my K&D Dakota Defender, maybe I'll be ordering one made by Srigs mfg. Although I am getting the itch to start creating my own.

Now that you're in the business, you might not want to share your trade secrets, but it can't hurt to ask:

1.) Why is the main part of the holster sewn with the smooth side in? (Besides looking very cool with the opposite 'trim' on the top).

2.) When did you sew the strip around the top of the holster, after it was formed and stiched closed or before? Again, was that just for looks, or is it to manage the rivets (or screws or whatever they're called)?

3.) Speaking of which, what keeps the back of the screws from turning when you switch out belt loops?
