Just picked up this holster today, http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterG3.asp?ProductID=2791&GunID=334I really like it but the leather is very stiff and the gun is a little hard to draw. Any suggestions? I have been working the gun in and out of it so far.

Nice!
The standard advice is to wrap the gun in a layer or two of thin plastic -- like a bread bag -- and put it in the holster for a day or two. That's supposed to loosen it up just enough.
Don't use saddle soap or anything else that will soften the leather.

That's supposed to loosen it up just enough. Agreed. If you can tell where it's tight, wrap those areas in saran wrap and do a lot of draw-reholster iterations, unloaded of course.

They are great holsters. I have a similar one that I've been wearing for years for my .41 Mag tracker. It took a long time to get to the point wear it didn't squeak every time I fidgeted in a chair.
I had trouble getting one for my 24/7 and ordered from a different holster maker. It's thinner leather but it doesn't make noise either.

Well i am gonna have to disagree
I was told to do nothing just carry it and draw a few times it will loosen
that is what i did for my Galco FLETCH for my XD once that leather is stretched it will not go back

Good deal I worked it in a and out a little bit and wore it all day. Its getting better but still needs more wear in time. Better just keep it on all the time  .
Thanks for the input guys I will try the plastic wrap on it.

Best way to break in a holster is wearing it and practice drawing. The plastic wrap will help.

I have a Bob Mernickle holster for a 44 mag. He makes mostly cowboy gun belts. Way too tight. He told me to put the gun in any plastic bag and force it into the holster. I was a bit skeptical.
It took only ONE day and it's been perfect ever since. The plastic wrap will probably work if the holster fits the gun properly.
Mernickle holsters are supposed to be extremely well fitted. Mine is. It works better than the revolver.

This is what I ordered, hopefully the lining will alleviate the issue a little. If it's still tight I guess I could still use the plastic wrap.

I was actually looking for the Fletch Hide ride and couldn't find one anywhere and found a little Ma and Pa dealer out in Seattle that had this in the color and for the gun I wanted.I have since found a place that Has free shipping but a little late.
