Maybe the response was disproportional. I don't know. I wasn't there.

Whether the 71 year old was justified in detaining him or not, he shouldn't have used force against him (regardless of the fact that he is a cop, you wouldn't have pushed him).


BINGO!!!! Or the next guy either. What the hell is wrong with this situation, or those that miss the entire point.

We spent months discussing a similar issue regarding a LEO in this very state, and many here still think he was in the wrong. Granted, that situation included the use of a gun, but the fact that a cop did something possibly illegal is the ENTIRE point. Too much force.
